The Broadband Supplier wars in the UK

November 22, 2006 on 2:01 am | In Musing |

Gone are the days when broadband was the monopoly of one or two companies like BT in the UK. With a number of broadband ISP suppliers entering the market, the cost of high speed broadband internet is getting cheaper in the UK. The price war and the marketing war is hotting up everyday with more and more companies taking chunks off the bigger providers” share. Providers offering Cheap broadband is good news for consumers as it can cost as little as a dial up internet connection nowadays.

Some broadband providers even give free broadband in the UK. All is not green when you choose your ISP provider though. If you are to really find the best broadband internet offer to suit your needs, you need to compare the broadband suppliers, their prices and the download limits. Sometimes they say “unlimited broadband” but their can be strings attached to it. So always read the small print before you sign on the dotted line when it comes to an Internet service provider.

With the slow death of dial-up internet connections and the era of watching movies online, it is worthwhile checking the prices of your broadband now and then to make sure you are getting a good deal.
