Goodbye RegisterFly
February 15, 2006 on 9:44 pm | In Web |After many (too too many) years of suffering with RegisterFly, I am finally getting rid of them. I have almost all my domains with them and they finally blew it by erasing all my DNS information this morning at 10:00 - effectively turning off several of my live web sites.
So, I looked around and it seems that GoDaddy is doing a pretty good job. I am transfering several domains over there and will see how that works out.
Many years ago I recommened RegisterFly to everyone and anyone, but I can no longer recommend them.

You might want to look at namecheap.com also. $8.88 .com registrations and excellent support. Have 12 domains with them and never a problem.

GoDaddy and namecheap.com are the ones that have been recommended about 90% of the time. I am going to transfer a bunch to GoDaddy and go from there. Maybe a couple to namecheap to compare. Thanks!

I understand your pain. Check out http://www.registerflies.com and you’ll see that we are not alone when it comes to problems with Registerfly.
Registerfly has not made any effort to take a stand against what is being said about their service.
I highly recomend Fabulous.com if you have more than 50 names. Godaddy is ok but not for bulk domain managenment. I’ve been looking and hear a lot of nice things about Name.com. Hope this helps!

namecheap does not have hosting, and moreover they are not icann affiliated. search for the icann logo!

Go Daddy is very good. I got rid of register fly for my sites as well. Too many problems and too slow.
Also I got here through BlogAdvance.

Registerfly is F***. Too much server downtime, finance system is evil (autodebit card without owner’s authorization). Even after quit Registerfly, my card is still autodebited. Fake customer support, no response at all. Can’t be contacted by any means (phone, email). Recommendation: STAY AWAY FROM REGISTERFLY. This is truly, you can check with Google:”How good is Registerfly?”, 95% answered STAY AWAY from REGISTERFLY. It’s not because I hate Registerfly, but to save more people from Registerfly’s cheating.
